Someone tell me if the "Save to disk" option works with IE...it depends on if it obeys the "Content-Disposition" header or not. If not, I could always output it as raw data forcing IE to ask for a save, but that wouldn't be The Right Thing anymore. :-)

Output is in PNG format--sorry, no GIFs. Almost everything should be able to handle PNGs nowadays, though.
